Healthcare savings accounts are portable. They are set up depending on your employer. So your employer usually will engage with a bank or a third party administrator to set up that account for you and all of your deposits go into it. So let’s say you leave one employer and you go to another employer and you enroll in another healthcare savings account.

And they have a different vendor that it’s set up with. Well, you can have your funds transferred from one health care savings account to another so that you keep it all together, much like a 401k plan. If you move from one, one employer to another, you can always transfer those assets into that tax favored account from one place to a different place.
