Health Care Reform & Employee Benefit Plan Compliance
Hi, this is Connie Chiara with Corporate Benefit Partners. Let’s talk for just a minute about healthcare reform and employee benefit plan compliance. Healthcare reform requires that employers provide a health insurance exchange notice to employees when they are hired. This notice describes the employee’s right to purchase coverage on the health insurance exchange.
In addition, it advises them if their employer offers minimum essential coverage at an affordable price according to the law. If such coverage is offered, then the employee may not be eligible for a subsidy to purchase health insurance on the exchange. If you have questions about health care reform or employee benefit plan compliance, call me.
Let’s talk benefits.
